Description:

  • 360Learning is seeking a Software Engineer to develop custom plugins and extensions tailored to specific customer requirements.
  • The role involves leading complex technical challenges, managing a significant codebase, and focusing on clean architecture for long-term growth.
  • The technical stack includes MongoDB, Node.js, and Vue.js, with a current migration to TypeScript.
  • Responsibilities include developing and integrating custom extensions that operate independently of the core product codebase and working on both frontend extension code and backend APIs.
  • The position offers opportunities for rapid growth within an R&D team that emphasizes peer review, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Within the first month, the engineer will discover the 360Learning platform, gain a global view of the codebase, and implement initial tickets.
  • By three months, the engineer will join a squad focused on custom needs and enhance skills on the tech stack.
  • Within six months, the engineer will develop the public API, document and refactor plugins, and share best practices.
  • After twelve months, the engineer will onboard new team members, own part of the codebase, work on complex functionalities, and collaborate with product squads.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have graduated from an engineering school or possess equivalent training.
  • A well-rounded background in software development is required.
  • An interest in JavaScript technologies is necessary, though expertise is not mandatory.
  • Experience in creating quality interfaces that are intuitive, efficient, and elegant is essential.
  • Comfort with algorithms is required.
  • Fluency in English (US/UK) at a B2 level or equivalent is necessary.
  • Enthusiasm for the working environment as described in the provided link is expected.
