Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Software Engineer at OpenBorder, you will lead key projects and shape the systems that support global shipping, tax compliance, and merchant services.
• You will take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, mentor other engineers, and influence technical direction across the stack.
• Your responsibilities include building and shipping full product features with minimal support.
• You will contribute to the technical design of scalable systems.
• You are expected to write tested, documented code across backend and frontend services.
• Participation in code reviews and collaboration across the team is essential.
• You will work with our technology stack, which includes Java, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, AWS, and GCP.

Requirements:

• You must have experience delivering features in a production environment.
• A strong foundation in software development is required.
• Familiarity with both backend and frontend systems is necessary.
• There should be an emphasis on testing, documentation, and clean code.
