Description:

  • As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for adding features to web-based software applications, facing new and varied engineering challenges daily across different application areas and engineering concerns.
  • The team is distributed across Boston, Houston, and Portland, ME, and encourages flexible hours, telecommuting, and agile principles in engineering practices.

Requirements:

  • Full stack development experience, including working with relational databases using ORMs and SQL queries.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using C#, C++, or Java.
  • Proficiency in front-end development with MVC frameworks, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (e.g., TypeScript, KnockoutJS, React, Vue.js).
  • Demonstrated experience across the entire software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, ETL, CI/CD.
  • Experience in agile software development teams and enterprise web applications.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in developing software for laboratories or the life sciences.
  • Knowledge in integrating commercially available and custom-built software systems, device integration, automation, external customer interaction, and distributed software systems.
