Description:
The Software Engineer will work as a Back-end Web Developer alongside a team of developers and analysts to support the Simpleview CRM and related products.
This position requires an advanced understanding of HTML, JavaScript, ColdFusion, Angular, and SQL.
The role involves delivering high-quality, error-free work while meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
Responsibilities include completing client contracts and projects in collaboration with a Lead Developer and project owner.
The engineer will write SQL scripts for data import and updates within the Simpleview CRM.
Modifying existing templated reports and creating new reports based on client specifications is required.
Debugging issues in business/application logic and implementing resolutions is a key task.
The role includes developing scripts for updating Extranet permissions and sending mass emails.
Customizing FormBuilder forms and troubleshooting Simpleview CRM integrations are also part of the job.
The engineer will support enterprise clients and report issues with the core application.
Responsibilities include peer reviewing the work of other developers and testing completed work for proper functionality.
The engineer must manage timelines and ticket queues to ensure timely delivery of tasks and maintain open communication with the Lead Developer and project owner.
Daily updates of ticket and project notes within the internal Simpleview ticket system are required.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of professional web development experience is required.
Excellent time management and time tracking skills are essential.
The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is necessary.
Proficiency in providing regular project updates and communicating effectively about project timelines and challenges is required.
Strong problem-solving communication skills, including the ability to articulate challenges and propose solutions, are needed.
Familiarity with version control software (Git and/or SVN) is required.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to produce clear and thorough documentation.
Experience with Jira and SCRUM/Agile development methodologies is preferred.
A commitment to staying updated with relevant trends, tools, and best practices in the field is necessary.
Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
Experience with branching, merging, and resolving conflicts in code is preferred.
