Description:

The Software Engineer position at Passport is a full-time remote role based in Serbia or LATAM.
The primary responsibilities include solving synchronization and load issues of the distributed API, creating and optimizing relational data queries, and implementing scheduled data processing tasks using the internal Routines framework.
The role also involves generating properly tagged log data and analyzing it with Elasticsearch, utilizing AWS tools and Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring, and enriching the knowledge base in Notion.
The engineer will learn about international shipping and work with popular e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Bigcommerce, and Magento.
Understanding clients' pain points and collaborating with them directly to ensure success is also a key part of the role.
The position offers a supportive team environment to help adapt, improve, and cope with challenges.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 3+ years of software development experience.
A college degree in a technical field is required.
Proficiency in English reading and writing is necessary.
Expertise in TypeScript, NodeJS, Express framework, MySQL, Redis, Git, and Elasticsearch is essential.
Experience in building distributed cloud-based REST API web services is required.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with other teams are important.
Candidates must demonstrate transparency and accuracy in task management.
The ability to adapt quickly to existing code styles and practices while actively participating in their review and improvement is needed.
Autonomy in work and the ability to improve processes with minimal guidance is expected.
