The Software Engineer will work with Product Management and other Engineers to design, develop, and maintain network device integration software.
The role involves developing support for emerging next-generation technologies in the networking security space.
The engineer will create device integration solutions for products from various brands, including Palo Alto, Juniper, and Checkpoint, particularly focusing on those specific to the APAC region.
Responsibilities include gathering technical requirements for integrating with security devices using various guides and resources.
The engineer will learn the inner workings of security devices and convert that logic into a usable structure for applications.
Collaboration with the sales engineering team is essential to prioritize device pack development based on customer needs.
The role may require participation in customer and support calls to troubleshoot device-related issues.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proficiency in Java coding skills is necessary, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications, and object-oriented design.
Scripting expertise in either BASH or Python programming languages is required.
Experience with Linux and general command-line usage is essential.
Familiarity with Maven, SQL, JUnit, XML/XSLT, RESTful web services, and logback/log4j is preferred.
Expertise in networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, and Palo Alto is required.
Experience with regular expressions (Regex) is necessary.
Outstanding problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to analyze software and become a subject matter expert.
The candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate high emotional intelligence.
Flexibility and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks are required.
