Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• As a Software Engineer at impact.com, you will focus on delivering epics for the product team by planning, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying software solutions.
• You will work independently to define cloud services, implement new libraries and APIs, and solve problems.
• The role requires experience in multiple languages, common architectural patterns, blackbox and white-box testing, and complex integration testing frameworks.
• You will collaborate with a distributed team, write and maintain documentation, triage bugs, support testing processes, and review technical specifications.
• Additionally, you will research new technologies, evolve architecture, maintain stability, and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience in fast-paced engineering teams, with startup experience being beneficial.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Java 8+, SQL, Unix shell commands, version control, Spring MVC, HTTP/Rest protocols, CI tools, JVM, Cloud Computing, and more.
• Proficiency in Agile/Iterative processes, relational databases, continuous integration/delivery, large-scale processing, and Google Cloud technologies.
• Ability to influence architecture and handle interdisciplinary dependencies.
