Description:

We are looking to add a Software Engineer to our growing Engineering department.
As a Software Engineer, you will have the ability to work independently and with other engineers to develop new user experience-focused web applications, and provide support for existing systems.
You will work on multiple parts of a web application, from internal backend APIs to dynamic frontend interfaces.
Collaboration with designers, front-end specialists, other engineers, stakeholders, and clients is essential to understand business goals, analyze requirements, formulate solutions, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of the end product using the best technologies.
You will assist in scoping, estimating, and planning of projects.
Participation in code review, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing is expected.
Mentoring and helping others grow and make an impact is a key responsibility.
You will engage in a remote-first supportive engineering culture that values collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of experience with Web Development and Web Application architecture, specifically using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
At least 2 years of experience in developing reactive applications, utilizing React.js, vanilla JavaScript, and TypeScript.
An excellent ability to quickly understand complex systems, troubleshoot issues, and debug efficiently is required.
A solid understanding of best practices for web development, software design, and DevOps principles is necessary.
You must value code quality and maintainability.
Strong communication skills and an understanding of good collaboration are essential.
A demonstrated commitment to the growth mindset, learning, and advancement is expected.
Bonus points for experience working on web applications that process large volumes of data and/or receive high volumes of traffic, real-time data processing, understanding of Scrum and Agile best practices, experience developing applications for AWS, experience with OpenSearch, ElasticSearch or SOLR, familiarity with API development challenges, and DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and containerization.
