Description:

• As a Software Engineer specializing in accessibility, you will be responsible for building products that assist organizations in training their employees and addressing their key people-related challenges at scale.
• You will collaborate with product, design, data, and content teams to develop a modern learning platform with a focus on performance, scalability, and accessibility.
• Your role will involve shipping code regularly, participating in the product development process, advocating for accessibility, and ensuring users derive maximum value from the products.
• You will primarily work with frontend technologies like React and JavaScript, while also being open to full-stack work as required.
• Additionally, you will architect systems to handle significant user scale, emphasize performance, security, and privacy, and share knowledge with the team through code reviews, presentations, and articles.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong emphasis on frontend development.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of modern frontend architectures and state management.
• In-depth knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG guidelines.
• Experience with accessibility testing tools and techniques such as screen readers, color contrast analyzers, and keyboard navigation testing.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing accessible design and development practices to ensure usability by individuals with diverse abilities.
• Proven track record of working with accessibility vendors and integrating accessibility features into existing systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows is a plus.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Excellent written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration within the team.
