FranklinCovey, a global leadership company, is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in accessibility and UI to join their Corporate Platform Development team.
The role involves collaborating with product, design, data, and content teams to build a modern learning platform focusing on performance, scalability, and accessibility.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for shipping testable, readable, and maintainable code, participating in product development processes, and ensuring software accessibility according to WCAG guidelines.
The position requires a focus on frontend technologies like React and JavaScript, with opportunities for full-stack work as needed.
Additional responsibilities include architecting systems for user scale, improving team knowledge through code reviews and presentations, and advocating for accessible design and development practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
Experience with accessibility testing tools and techniques such as screen readers, color contrast analyzers, and keyboard navigation testing.
Strong focus on frontend, accessible development.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Demonstrated experience in implementing accessible design and development practices to ensure usability for people with diverse abilities.
Proven track record of working with accessibility vendors and integrating accessibility features into existing systems.
