Description:

• Discord is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the next generation of social gaming features on their platform.
• The role involves expanding existing capabilities and creating new products to enhance the Activity Feed experience.
• You will collaborate with Product, Data Science, Design, and Machine Learning teams.
• Responsibilities include building new features and expanding existing capabilities on activity infrastructure across Web, Android, and iOS.
• You will own projects from start to finish, including refining requirements, creating technical specifications, implementing changes, and launching projects.
• The position requires close collaboration with product teams for content integrations and enhancing the platform's footprint.
• You will work with Design to deliver exceptional user experiences across all client platforms.
• The role involves rapid prototyping of new features and learning through experimentation.
• You will also improve system observability and tooling while evolving the product.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in web (React, TypeScript), Android (React Native, Kotlin), iOS (React Native, Objective-C, Swift), and backend (Python and some Elixir).
• A growth mindset is essential; candidates should view challenges and mistakes as learning opportunities and strive for continuous improvement.

Benefits:

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000 to $175,000, plus equity and benefits.
