Common Room is a customer intelligence platform that captures buying signals and provides AI enrichment and automation to enhance customer engagement.
The Software Engineer will play a key role in building the future of the AI agent platform, focusing on account research, scaled enrichment, customized outreach generation, and recommended actions.
The position requires leveraging RAG and LLMs to develop new agents while keeping up with the evolving AI landscape.
The engineer will ensure that Common Room’s internal capabilities, infrastructure, and systems meet the needs of customers and the team.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of experience, with a focus or interest in working with LLMs.
The ability to operate independently while seeking help and support when needed is essential.
Candidates should have a passion for their craft and be capable of owning large backend projects.
Effective collaboration with other experienced engineers, including application and front-end engineers, is required.
Good judgment on trade-offs and tools for problem-solving is necessary, with a preference for stable technologies over trendy ones.
Candidates should use customer problems as input for designing systems and enjoy creating simple, elegant solutions.
Consideration of observability, SLA, and scalability implications is important, while avoiding premature optimization.
Familiarity with AWS, Postgres, and Node.js is required.
