Remote Software Engineer (AI Core)

Description:

• Phaidra is building AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling facilities to learn and improve over time.
• The company uses reinforcement learning algorithms to convert raw sensor data into actionable decisions.
• The AI Core team owns the production AI code, including machine learning, search, and reinforcement learning agents.
• The role involves designing, implementing, and extending significant parts of the production AI algorithms and code base.
• The position is fully remote, with team members located in various countries including the USA, Canada, UK, and several European nations.
• The onboarding process includes a structured program over the first 90 days to familiarize new hires with the company and its systems.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 2+ years of work experience and a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Machine Learning, ideally Deep Learning, is required.
• Candidates should have expertise in efficient algorithms and data structures, particularly for search problems.
• Proficiency in Python is necessary, along with experience in production Software Engineering, including fault tolerance and performance tuning.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in an all-remote setting are essential.
• A commitment to curiosity, ownership, transparency, and customer empathy is expected.
