Description:

  • The company aims to help fire professionals respond to wildfires faster and more safely by providing timely information and enhanced coordination.
  • The AI Platform Engineer will be responsible for architecting systems that utilize artificial intelligence to detect wildfires before they escalate.
  • The role involves managing diverse data ecosystems, including structured datasets and image repositories from remote cameras and satellites.
  • The engineer will work with AI engineers and platform architects to create software solutions that address environmental threats.
  • Responsibilities include building tools for AI model inference, developing internal tools for data management, creating models for panoramic images, and optimizing system reliability and costs.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience and a BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Python is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience with AI frameworks, such as PyTorch, is necessary.
  • Candidates should have 2+ years of experience working with relational databases, like PostgreSQL.

Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $151,000 - $195,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
  • The position is eligible for stock options in addition to the salary.
