Pano AI is a growth stage start-up focused on early wildfire detection and intelligence, headquartered in San Francisco.
The company aims to help fire professionals respond to wildfires faster and more safely by providing timely information and enhanced coordination.
The AI Platform Engineer will be responsible for architecting systems that utilize artificial intelligence to detect wildfires before they escalate.
The role involves managing diverse data ecosystems, including structured datasets and image repositories from remote cameras and satellites.
The engineer will work with AI engineers and platform architects to create software solutions that address environmental threats.
Responsibilities include building tools for AI model inference, developing internal tools for data management, creating models for panoramic images, and optimizing system reliability and costs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience and a BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Python is required.
At least 2 years of experience with AI frameworks, such as PyTorch, is necessary.
Candidates should have 2+ years of experience working with relational databases, like PostgreSQL.

The salary range for this position is $151,000 - $195,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
The position is eligible for stock options in addition to the salary.
