Underdog is seeking a Software Engineer - Android to work on innovative projects that gamify and enhance fantasy and sports betting products.
The role involves designing and developing clean, well-structured, and performant features that will be used by millions of customers.
The engineer will collaborate closely with product-minded individuals to shape and deliver transformative products.
Responsibilities include working with client engineers and product stakeholders, communicating issues, asking clarifying questions, and raising concerns as needed.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of software engineering experience and be product-minded.
A minimum of 1+ years of professional Android development experience using Android Studio, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, and Espresso is required.
Strong collaboration skills and a passion for fostering best practices within the team are essential.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary for effective interaction with both engineers and product teams.
Experience in fantasy sports and/or sports betting is preferred.
Candidates who have worked through a significant growth phase of a company are highly regarded.
Familiarity with building dashboards or using tools like DataDog or Amplitude is a plus.
Experience in building highly scalable and available systems to manage high traffic with low latency is advantageous.
