Description:
The Software Engineer will support the development team by maintaining, customizing, and optimizing existing systems and integrations across platforms.
This role is designed to alleviate the workload on senior developers by taking ownership of system upkeep, automation scripts, and low-complexity enhancements, without building entire systems from scratch.
Key responsibilities include managing and monitoring AWS environments, with hands-on experience in services like Lambda, S3, and EC2.
The engineer will perform system-level customization, configuration, and automation using Python and related tools.
They will maintain and enhance workflows within Airtable, including custom scripts and API integrations.
The role requires understanding how data flows between systems and assessing whether business requests are technically feasible.
The engineer will support dashboard and reporting updates in Grafana.
They will assist in maintaining business logic and configuration in Business Central.
The engineer will respond to internal requests for updates, bug fixes, and feature adjustments.
Documentation of system configurations, process changes, and updates in shared repositories is required.
Collaboration with senior developers to ensure changes align with broader system architecture is essential.
The engineer will escalate complex system issues or development needs to the core engineering team.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a software engineering or systems integration role is required.
Practical experience with AWS and a solid understanding of cloud-based data workflow is a must.
Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and development is ideal.
Familiarity with Airtable, including automations and scripts, is ideal.
Exposure to Grafana, Business Central, or similar systems is ideal.
An understanding of REST APIs and data integration is a must.
Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and the ability to follow processes are necessary.
The ability to work independently with guidance from senior team members is required.
A proactive approach to resolving issues before they escalate is essential.
The candidate should be eager to learn and develop in a fast-paced technical environment.
Clear communication skills, especially when documenting changes or escalating issues, are important.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills are required.
