Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking an ambitious and visionary Software Engineer to join their mission-driven team.

The Software Engineer will drive the engineering strategy behind the deployment and scaling of the Game Warden platform, which accelerates the secure adoption of mission-critical SaaS solutions for the U.S. government.
Responsibilities include building and scaling the UI frontend and RESTful API backend as part of a distributed development team, participating in code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features, and engaging in agile development practices.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions and a willingness to learn and grow with the team.
An understanding of basic containerization using Docker and familiarity with PostgreSQL database management is required.
Candidates should have a basic understanding of systems development concepts, including REST APIs, authentication, and event-driven architectures.
The ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in a remote environment is essential.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include 2-4 years of Software Engineering experience, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, experience with relevant technologies, and experience in a startup environment.
Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and practices and previous experience in national security are also preferred.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $132,000 to $153,000.
