Description:

Capio Group is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a full-time remote position.
The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000.
The Software Engineer will provide consulting and implementation support services to migrate old .NET applications to the new clients' Modern Development Environment (MDE).
Responsibilities include analyzing and refining systems requirements, translating them into application prototypes, planning and designing systems architecture, writing, debugging, and maintaining code, and ensuring software and systems quality and functionality.
The role also involves integrating hardware and software components, writing and maintaining program documentation, evaluating new application software technologies, and applying information security policies to software services.
Specific tasks include analyzing legacy .NET applications, designing new system architecture, assisting the agile team in breaking down components into manageable tasks, supporting the development team with documentation and deployment, handling change requests, troubleshooting bugs, and working with customers to resolve issues.

Requirements:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming is required, with at least three (3) years in a lead capacity.
A bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field is required, with the possibility of substituting additional qualifying experience for education on a year-for-year basis.
Candidates must provide at least two (2) references from previous engagements of similar size, scope, and type of service.
At least five (5) years of previous work experience in migrating systems from older technologies to newer, scalable solutions is mandatory.
Desirable experience includes at least two (2) years working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), in Agile environments, designing scalable system architecture, and with .NET Legacy applications.
