Remote Software Engineer (Back-end) - Shift Management / Facility Integrations

Description:

• Nursa is a healthcare platform addressing staffing challenges in the U.S. healthcare system by connecting qualified nurses with facilities in need.
• The company was founded in 2019 and is a growing venture-backed startup with a mission to enhance patient care.
• The Back-end Software Engineer will join the Shift Management or Facility Integrations team to develop and improve features for the marketplace app.
• The Shift Management team focuses on scheduling and requesting within the Nursa application, allowing facilities to post shifts and clinicians to request them.
• The Facility Integrations team enhances the marketplace's reach through external partnerships and manages APIs, SDKs, and technologies for integration with scheduling systems.
• Responsibilities include working on Google Cloud Platform projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying modern software practices, delivering features, contributing to product vision, and ensuring efficient and scalable code.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of relevant experience in building and scaling consumer-facing applications.
• Experience with Node.js is preferred.
• Candidates should have experience in scaling backend systems.
• A solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms is required.
• Cloud infrastructure development experience, particularly with GCP, is a plus.
• Proficiency in Git source control and familiarity with cloud-based Git providers like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket is necessary.
• Candidates should be self-starters who can identify problems and propose solutions.
• Creative problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking are essential.
• Experience working within a compliance framework is required.
• Experience in the healthcare sector or with two-sided marketplaces is a plus.
