Description:
Teikametrics is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain tools that empower users to process and visualize analytical data at scale.
This role focuses on building high-performance, scalable systems using a modern tech stack, including Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Postgres, and AWS services.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-based solutions that drive actionable insights for businesses optimizing their operations.
Responsibilities include developing scalable software solutions that align with customer needs, enhancing performance, functionality, and adaptability to growth in user demand, data, and feature expansion.
The engineer will continuously monitor and optimize application performance, addressing any potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
Implementing data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency is also a key responsibility.
Collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations is essential.
Documenting technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation is required.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience as a software developer, specifically in web applications.
Hands-on experience with HTTP, web services, and the overall web application development lifecycle is necessary.
Proficiency in Java with the Spring/Spring Boot framework is required.
Competency with SQL and RDBMS for efficient database interaction is essential.
Exposure to NoSQL databases is preferred.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes with Dockerization is a nice to have.
The ability to set up reusable, testable, and performant components, allowing for rapid development and well-organized code is important.
Strong design sensibilities and informed opinions on usability and design for web applications are expected.
A passion for working with a small team of world-class developers, solving challenging problems is essential.
A desire to work in a collaborative environment focusing on continuous learning, participating in mentoring, tech talks, documentation, code review, and some pair programming is required.
