Description:

As a Back-End Engineer, you will construct and manage data infrastructures that support users seeking personalized nutrition guidance and registered dietitians providing expertise.
Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining backend systems, collaborating with front-end engineers to design APIs, establishing development practices, debugging production issues, and optimizing system performance.
You will also stay informed about emerging technologies to enhance backend development.
Requirements:
You must have a strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.
Proficiency in backend development tools and server architecture is required.
Familiarity with database design principles and management systems like SQL or NoSQL is essential.
Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git, is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance are expected.
You should be capable of managing server-side performance and ensuring system scalability.
Effective communication of technical concepts to team members and stakeholders is required.
A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in backend development using languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js is necessary.
Proficient knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in designing and implementing them is required.
Strong command of SQL databases, including MySQL or PostgreSQL, and experience with non-relational databases like DynamoDB is essential.
Extensive experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, RDS, and EC2 is required.
Experience with low-code development platforms like Retool and exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field is required.
