Automox is seeking a Software Engineer - Backend (Golang) to join their remote team in the United States or Ontario.
The role involves researching, designing, developing, and owning solutions that facilitate communications with over 1 million Automox agents globally.
The engineer will lead by example, championing software development best practices and writing well-designed code.
Responsibilities include extending and enhancing event-driven services, contributing to continual improvement through testing and performance tuning, and producing detailed specifications throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Requirements:
Programming experience in Golang or Java is required, with the ability to leverage an extensive engineering background in any language.
Candidates must have 2+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in a high availability SaaS environment.
Experience in building production applications in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP is necessary.
Familiarity with scaling microservice architectures, large-scale event ingestion platforms, websockets, real-time messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT), non-relational database systems (DynamoDB), networking, and DevOps is desired.
Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to thrive in a tightly knit, cross-functional remote team environment.
Candidates must be able to pass a federal, state, and county background check and complete a local in-person verification.
