Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer Backend to work remotely from Canada for one of their clients.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based solutions critical to a cybersecurity platform.
The engineer will work with modern technologies and frameworks to ensure high performance, security, and reliability across the platform.
Responsibilities include leading backend development of features that enhance user experiences and contribute to key business outcomes.
Accountabilities include designing and maintaining backend systems and microservices using Node.js and Kubernetes, managing distributed databases, building and maintaining APIs, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of back-end development experience, specifically with Node.js and frameworks like Nest.js or Express.js.
Experience in designing and maintaining microservices architectures and contributing to full-stack development is required.
Proficiency in database management, schema design, performance tuning, and indexing for large-scale distributed databases is necessary.
Familiarity with message-driven architectures using tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ is expected.
Candidates should have experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation of deployment and scaling.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams is essential.
Expertise in cloud-native technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda) and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) is required.
Familiarity with containerized microservices using Kubernetes is necessary.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, along with a passion for continuous learning, are important.
A B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
