As a key member of the software engineering team, you will lead the development of core backend components for the blockchain network.
Your focus will be on networking, reliability, and scalability.
Primary responsibilities include designing and coding core backend software components primarily in Rust.
You will leverage your extensive experience to ensure the creation, testing, debugging, and deployment of production-grade components.
Your role will also involve maintaining and enhancing high-quality software engineering practices within a prominent open-source project.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
You must have experience in designing, testing, and implementing scalable backend systems.
Proficiency in a low-level programming language such as Rust, C, C++, or Zig is necessary.
Experience in systems programming is essential, with strong signals including experience writing compilers, operating systems, kernels, or machine simulators.
You should have a track record of writing correct, reliable software and must have worked on and deployed software changes used by people.
The ideal candidate is creative, independent, and a collaborative team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Active participation in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Blockchain projects, or the open-source community is highly desirable.

The base salary range for this full-time position is between $120k and $260k.
The displayed salary range reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based in New York at any level.
N1 hires exceptionally talented professionals with decades of experience, which may result in a higher salary than displayed.
Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills demonstrated during interviews, working experience, and relevant education or training.
