Description:

EngFlow is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in C++ Build Systems, Devtools, and Compiler Engineering for a fully remote position in North America or Europe.
The role involves contributing to Bazel, gRPC, Goma, Soong, and CMake, as well as developing core features of the platform to enhance scalability and real-time performance.
Opportunity for experimentation, working with the latest tech, and building a scalable product used by tech companies like Brave Software, Blue River Technology, and Snap.
EngFlow, a SaaS company funded by Andreessen Horowitz, focuses on speeding up software builds and tests through remote execution services and an observability platform.

Requirements:

Passion for enhancing productivity and safety in CMake and C++ development.
Proficiency in C++ programming and expertise in modern target-based CMake, sanitizers, Clang-tidy, remote debugging, and cross-platform builds.
Experience with Git infrastructure, Yocto, Java JNI, and Node JS native bindings is a plus.
Strong interest in devtools development and improving Remote Caching and Remote Execution for CMake and other build systems.
Knowledge or expertise in Compiler Engineering, including writing code scanning and refactoring algorithms for C++ and CMakeLists using libclang or similar technologies.
Familiarity with Linux, Unix, and Windows, with cross-platform experience.
Experience with Cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, or Oracle Cloud.
Proficiency in writing and improving documentation, delivering software at scale, and maintaining operational excellence.
Willingness to participate in major developer conferences, ISO C++ Meetings, and be part of an on-call rotation for production issues.
