Description:
Snyk is a developer security platform that helps development teams find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure.
As a Software Engineer at Snyk, you will be involved in building high-performance, reliable, and scalable services while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You will work on the Analysis team to develop the next generation of static code analysis using scalable dataflow analysis, a database of security vulnerabilities, and machine learning optimization.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, and implementing high-quality solutions with maintainable code, building sustainable systems, resolving customer support escalations, and communicating effectively with team members.
You will own technical decisions and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, while actively participating in the engineering team.
Requirements:
You must have at least 3 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.
A strong background in software systems design and familiarity with fundamental computer science concepts such as algorithms, complexity, and data structures is required.
Proficiency in at least one of the core programming languages (Go, TypeScript) is necessary, along with a willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
Experience in building reliable, scalable microservice back-ends, web UIs, CLIs, APIs, or infrastructure automation is essential.
You should demonstrate effective software testing skills and have a strong commitment to code quality, including participating in code reviews.
The ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing requirements and priorities is important.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
