Description:

LiveKit is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in JavaScript to contribute to open-source SDKs, component libraries, and template apps.
The role involves core feature development and maintenance of WebRTC-based SDKs for JavaScript, Node.js, React, and React Native.
You will collaborate with the Agents team to implement realtime AI features from Node.js and Python to the web browser.
The position requires working with the design team to create high-quality sample apps and templates that demonstrate the capabilities of LiveKit and realtime AI.
You will focus on improving the developer experience of building realtime AI applications with LiveKit SDKs.
The role includes identifying, prioritizing, designing, and developing new features and capabilities for the SDKs in collaboration with other engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must be expert engineers in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or React with significant real-world experience in web development.
A passion for building open-source web software that is compatible across various browsers, devices, and languages is essential.
The ideal candidate should be excited to collaborate with other developers to simplify complex technical challenges.
Bonus points for generalist engineers who are interested in exploring Python, Rust, Swift, Kotlin, C#, C++, and other programming languages.
