Description:

LiveKit is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in JavaScript to contribute to open-source SDKs, component libraries, and template apps.
The role involves core feature development and maintenance of WebRTC-based SDKs for JavaScript, Node.js, React, and React Native.
The engineer will collaborate with the Agents team to implement realtime AI features and work with the design team to create high-quality sample apps and templates.
Responsibilities include refining the developer experience of building realtime AI apps and identifying, prioritizing, designing, and developing new features for the SDKs.
The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting fast, reliable code and is known for tackling tough technical problems.

Requirements:

Candidates must be expert engineers in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or React with significant real-world experience in web development.
A passion for building open-source web software that is compatible across various browsers and devices is essential.
The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to others is required.
Candidates should be fast learners, capable of picking up new languages and tools quickly.
Bonus points for generalist engineers interested in languages such as Python, Rust, Swift, Kotlin, C#, and C++.
