Description:
Sourcegraph is seeking a Software Engineer for their Cloud Ops team to work on building a fully managed platform for Sourcegraph Cloud, the SaaS offering.
The role involves developing inter-cloud connectivity solutions for enterprise customers, building a control plane for single-tenant Sourcegraph Cloud instances, and exposing infrastructure as an API for internal customers.
Responsibilities include debugging and patching non-trivial problems in upstream dependencies, advocating for reliable services, and participating in the on-call rotation to uphold SLA commitments.
Within the first month, the successful candidate will onboard onto Sourcegraph architecture, contribute to team goals, and start delivering new features.
By the sixth month, the candidate will define long-term technical vision, collaborate on growth strategies, and iterate on the Cloud infrastructure based on customer feedback.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Go or other strongly typed languages is required.
Knowledge of public cloud platform providers like GCP, AWS, or Azure is necessary.
Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and debugging distributed systems is essential.
Strong communication skills, especially in writing and documentation, are a must.
Preferred time zone between UTC-8 and UTC+2 is required.
