Description:

Sourcegraph is seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer to join the Code Search team, responsible for developing an advanced code search and navigation tool.
The Code Search tool enables developers to efficiently understand, navigate, and review software regardless of size or complexity.
It offers universal code search capabilities across repositories, branches, and languages, providing features like semantic code search, syntax highlighting, hover tooltips, and real-time code insights.
The role involves contributing to the direction of Sourcegraph’s Code Search product, maintaining, expanding, and shaping its future to meet the needs of enterprise customers.
The position requires onboarding onto the Sourcegraph codebase, understanding technical challenges, actively participating in team meetings, and making meaningful contributions to ongoing projects.
Within six months, the role involves acting as an expert within the domain, leading projects, influencing the team's roadmap, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

2-5 years of hands-on experience as a Full-stack Software Engineer.
Proficiency in Go with exposure to scaling and concurrency.
Proficiency in Typescript and Javascript frameworks; experience with React and SvelteKit is a plus.
Knowledge of GraphQL.
Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), command-line interface, bash scripting, multi-service environments, and Bazel as a build tool.
Familiarity with macOS and Linux platforms.

Target compensation for the role is $58,000 - $116,000 USD base.
