Description:

The Software Engineer at Canonical will have the opportunity to work with Ubuntu and open source products within the Commercial Systems unit.
Responsibilities include developing and operating services related to security, distributed systems, internal business operations, and Salesforce integration.
The role involves coding in Go or Python, collaborating on technical designs, deploying and operating services, and improving engineering and operations practices.
The position is fully remote in the EMEA region, with occasional international travel required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience as a software developer, preferably in Go or Python.
Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to collaborate remotely, stay motivated, and organized in a fully remote environment.
Willingness to travel internationally 2-4 times per year for one week at a time.
