Description:

  • The Software Engineer - Connector position at Jitterbit involves turning ideas into reliable and scalable designs, with a focus on integration and APIs to transform system integration and application development.
  • The successful candidate will enjoy helping and mentoring team members, possess excellent communication skills, excel in a distributed team environment, be self-driven, and make data-driven decisions.
  • They will be responsible for making things happen, listening to input from peers, and promoting a culture of the best idea strategy.
  • The role requires 5+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed applications, expertise in building multi-tenant SaaS applications, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with Microservices and Cloud-based architectures.
  • Technical skills include proficiency in Java 8+, strong knowledge of HTTP protocols like REST, SOAP, and GraphQL, experience with Windows, Docker, Linux-based systems, version control systems like GitHub, and understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and OS-memory allocation.
  • Familiarity with standard protocols like JMS and OData is a plus.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed applications.
  • Strong experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microservices and Cloud-based architectures/design patterns.
  • Proficiency in Java 8+ and OOP.
  • Strong experience with HTTP protocols like REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with Windows, Docker, Linux-based system command line.
  • Experience with control-versioning systems (preferably GitHub).
  • Understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) from stretch to PROD.
  • Understanding of OS-memory allocation and its types (Stack and Heap).
  • Experience with standard protocols like JMS (Java Message System) and OData (Open Data Protocol) is a good plus.
