Remote Software Engineer (Contract)

Description:

• NCSolutions helps consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands, publishers, and retailers improve advertising effectiveness across various platforms, channels, and devices.
• The tech team focuses on internal clients and capabilities research to enhance existing methodologies and develop new products, as well as execute custom research for external clients.
• As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs.
• The role requires strong development skills in Java and experience in SQL.
• You should be knowledgeable in RDBMS systems such as Snowflake and/or Oracle.
• You will need to translate requirements into design and code effectively.
• The position requires the ability to work as a team member across project teams and independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for solving design and coding problems.
• Experience with H2O, Maven/Tomcat, backend, and middleware development is required.
• You must be able to unit test the code and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• The role involves working with the Director of R&D and understanding relevant concepts.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
• You must have a minimum of 5-10 years of IT experience, with at least 7 years in software development.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Knowledge and experience with scripting languages are preferred.
• Experience in CPG or media research is also preferred.
