Description:
Pryon is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of complex software components and microservices integrated into cloud architectures.
The role requires a self-managing individual who can coordinate with Research and Product teams and is eager to learn new theories and methodologies.
Responsibilities include designing and coding robust, scalable components and microservices that integrate with both public and private cloud infrastructure, as well as on-prem applications.
The engineer will apply architecture and design principles to enable end-to-end usage scenarios and focus on DevOps use-cases and workflows.
The position involves driving decisions through a structured decision-making process and analyzing criteria and options to answer key questions.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 1 year with a Master’s degree; or a Ph.D. without experience; or equivalent work experience is required.
Basic knowledge of development and deployment across multiple cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, VMWare, and OpenStack is necessary.
Candidates must have coding experience in languages such as Golang, Java, or C#.
A working knowledge of micro-service architectures and large-scale API design and development is essential.
Understanding of service mesh frameworks (Istio), container systems (Docker), and orchestration platforms (ECS, Kubernetes, Mesos, and/or Swarm) is required.
Experience in developing solutions using automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or System Center is needed.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases.
Operating System knowledge of Linux, OS Processes, Threads, Scheduling, Synchronization, Memory Management, and Input/Output device management is important.
The ability to collaborate and thrive in a dynamic, high-performing environment is essential.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications is required.
Participation in cross-functional design teams to develop expertise in other modules/systems is expected.
Excellent organizational agility and interpersonal skills are necessary.
Benefits:
The position offers a salary range of $140,000 - $170,000 per year, with actual salaries based on work experience and education.
