Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• The Muse Group tech team is seeking a Software Engineer to work on products aimed at connecting job seekers with suitable job opportunities.
• The role involves working on both front end and back end code, including writing services and user interfaces for Fairygodboss.com and Themuse.com.
• Applicants should have experience in javascript and python, with familiarity in react, typescript, and django being advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, microservices, async, and data streaming concepts is beneficial.
• Technologies used include React, Next.js, Typescript for front end applications, and FastAPI, Django, Python, Node, AWS, and PostgreSQL for services.
• Workflow tools include Docker, CircleCI, and Github.
• The position is remote, requiring availability during business hours of 9-6pm (GMT-5).

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in javascript and python to build scalable solutions.
• Ability to ship code frequently and practice clean code principles like SOLID, DRY, and YAGNI.
• Willingness to contribute to weeding out technical debt and improving team processes.
• Collaboration with technical and product teams in an iterative, scrum-based process.
• Development of new features for user-friendly web applications.
