Buildout is a family of commercial real estate (CRE) software products and services that assist brokers in finding, winning, marketing, and transacting properties.

The Software Engineer will build, maintain, and refine industry-leading CRE marketing tools, focusing on backend (Rails) and frontend (React) features.
Responsibilities include quickly building and launching software, understanding customer needs, engineering practical solutions, and ensuring high-quality standards.
The engineer will collaborate with product managers and UX designers to maintain a consistent user experience and will conduct thorough code reviews to promote knowledge sharing and accountability.
The role involves setting and achieving personal and professional goals with team leads and the SVP of Engineering.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of product software development experience within a SaaS company, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent skills in a shorter time frame.
Strong cross-team and cross-functional communication skills are essential.
A passion for software engineering, design, documentation, testing, and automation is required.
Experience in commercial real estate is a plus but not mandatory.
Candidates should have personal projects to discuss, showcasing their skills and interests.
