Description:

CertifID is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer - Data to focus on data engineering and implementation.
The role involves designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that support fraud detection products.
Responsibilities include maintaining robust data pipelines that collect, process, and store data from various sources.
The engineer will collaborate with product engineers, data scientists, and fraud prevention experts to drive product innovation and enhance data integrity.
The position requires ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data through monitoring and validation strategies.
The engineer will manage the internal connectivity of backend tools, APIs, and pipelines to build core data models used in fraud detection.
The role also involves researching, architecting, and deploying new infrastructure and tooling to meet the evolving needs of the data platform.

Requirements:

Candidates should typically have 4+ years of experience in data engineering, infrastructure/cloud engineering, or backend software engineering.
Strong experience with modern ELT tools like Fivetran & DBT or similar frameworks for building data pipelines is required.
A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL/document databases (e.g., MongoDB) is necessary.
Demonstrated expertise in Python for data engineering and data science applications is essential.
Experience with data platforms, DAGs, semantic layers, and modern data architecture concepts is required.
Preferred skills include experience with Jupyter Notebooks or Hex.tech for data analysis and visualization, and proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
