FloQast is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the development and improvement of their flagship product and additional offerings.
The role involves working on expanding products, building microservices, and integrating third-party services.
The company specializes in SaaS solutions for task management and accounting, aiming to enhance the efficiency of accountants and their teams.
The position is remote and available to US-based candidates only, with no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities include managing the full software development life cycle, collaborating with teammates to define specifications, writing code with automated tests, participating in code reviews, and deploying products across various environments.
The engineer will build ERP integrations and APIs, create scalable microservices and RESTful APIs, and engage with server and database logic while gaining exposure to DevOps.
The role encourages learning new technologies and concepts, particularly within the AWS ecosystem, Redux, and D3.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a strong understanding of JavaScript and SQL.
Experience in data engineering, database design, or table design is required.
Proficiency in Node, MongoDB, and AWS is necessary, with familiarity in frontend technologies like React considered a bonus.
Applicants should have experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
Experience in developing microservices on cloud platforms such as AWS is essential.
A commitment to testing, code quality, and craftsmanship in projects is expected.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment is crucial.
Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of professional experience with web technologies.

The base pay range for this position is between $110,000 and $165,000, with compensation not limited to base salary.
