Description:

  • Reddit, a community of communities, is seeking a Software Engineer for their Data Infrastructure team in Seattle, WA.
  • The team handles large-scale batch and streaming data challenges, ingesting over 150B analytics events daily.
  • The role involves refining and maintaining data infrastructure technologies for real-time analysis of millions of users.
  • Responsibilities include owning the data pipeline, building guardrails for data quality and governance, and automating data services.
  • The position requires collaborating with machine learning and Ads teams to create scalable, fault-tolerant systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience in a production setting with a focus on clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Scala, Python, Go, or Java.
  • Experience in designing and implementing large-scale systems, monitoring project progress, and demonstrating proactive leadership.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, terraform, airflow, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Flink, and modern cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a service-oriented team and broader organizational context.
