Description:
Reddit, a community of communities, is seeking a Software Engineer for their Data Infrastructure team to tackle large-scale batch and streaming data challenges.
The team manages over 150 billion analytics events daily, ingesting data into a warehouse with 55,000+ daily queries and utilizing it for batch and streaming data purposes.
The role involves refining and maintaining data infrastructure technologies for real-time analysis, owning the data pipeline for 100B+ daily events, and building guardrails for data quality, cost efficiency, and governance.
Responsibilities include software automation, monitoring/alerting for core systems, and collaborating with partner teams like machine learning and Ads.

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience in a production setting with a focus on clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Scala, Python, Go, or Java.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing large-scale systems, monitoring project progress, and showing proactive leadership.
Experience with cloud services, terraform, airflow, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Flink, and modern cloud-based infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a service-oriented team and broader organizational context.
