Remote Software Engineer, Data Loss Prevention - Rust

Description:

• Cloudflare is seeking a talented and experienced software engineer to enhance their Data Loss Prevention (DLP) product.
• The role involves making the DLP product more efficient and accurate while building out additional features.
• The engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of a Rust codebase deployed across Cloudflare’s edge fleet and in Kubernetes clusters in core datacenters.
• The DLP product helps customers protect sensitive data, such as credit card numbers and health records, by integrating with Cloudflare’s security services.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have solid Rust coding experience, as the entire DLP product is written in Rust.
• Experience with container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes, is required.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, including performance, consistency, observability, and resilience, is essential.
• Familiarity with advanced data/document classification techniques, such as statistical methods and machine learning, is preferred.
