Description:

Bot Auto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve their hybrid-Cloud data plane.
The role involves designing and implementing data infrastructure, including data lakehouse systems such as S3, Datalake, and Data Catalog.
Responsibilities include managing core data storage, architecting container jobs, and establishing end-to-end workflows using Kubernetes and distributed computing.
The engineer will create a robust data collection pipeline to transfer substantial data from autonomous systems to on-premises data centers and cloud environments.
The position also involves building a Data Lakehouse and Dashboard to support decision-making processes.
The engineer will work with the infrastructure team to deploy and manage the data platform across hybrid cloud solutions.
Full-stack projects will be part of the role, utilizing technologies like Python, Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
Additional responsibilities include building a robust metadata system and conducting scenario/case mining from large-scale datasets.
The engineer will develop a versatile data serving SDK and API server to support training and simulation jobs, as well as high-performance onboard data recording.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are necessary for this role.
The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
A proven track record of python production-level development with at least 3+ years of experience is required.
A strong background in building modern data infrastructure, including data lakes and distributed computing frameworks, is necessary.
Experience in data engineering and data science, including data modeling and analytics, is required.
The candidate should have experience in full-stack development, particularly with React and Flask.
Experience in managing core data stores, such as relational databases and document stores, is essential.
Familiarity with data privacy, security, retention, and cost control is required.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, GCP, K8s, and Iac, is necessary.
Experience with streaming data pipelines, such as Kafka or Kinesis, is a plus.
Experience developing with C++ is also a nice-to-have.
The ability to adapt quickly to emerging technologies is important.
