Remote Software Engineer (Data Platform)

Description:

• Phaidra is building AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling facilities to automatically learn and improve over time.
• The Software Engineer (Backend) will be part of the Data Platform team, responsible for building streaming and batch components for data ingestion and processing.
• The role involves optimizing data and feature stores, creating high-throughput APIs, and developing services to fetch external data for AI training.
• The position is fully remote, with applicants accepted from specific regions including the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Italy, and Portugal.
• Responsibilities include building scalable components, contributing to backend design, ensuring data security, and performing DevOps duties.
• The onboarding process includes a structured program to familiarize new hires with Phaidra's culture, systems, and processes over the first 90 days.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of work experience and a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in production Software Engineering, including data modeling and micro-services, is required.
• Familiarity with observability tools for monitoring services in production is necessary.

• Bonus qualifications include experience with scalable data platforms, containerization technologies, cloud infrastructure, and knowledge of Machine Learning.
