Description:

  • Pagos is seeking a Software Engineer for their Data Platform team, which focuses on building infrastructure for payments data observability, insights, benchmarking, and streaming solutions.
  • The role involves designing, building, and maintaining the data platform and backend for Pagos products.
  • The team is remote, with members located across North America and Europe, and values asynchronous collaboration and high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Responsibilities include crafting high-quality code for scale, availability, and performance, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers, driving engineering projects from start to finish, and ensuring product quality through code reviews, testing, and bug fixing.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 8+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of developing and scaling high-availability systems.
  • Strong expertise in backend development with .NET/C#, Python, or NodeJS/Typescript is required, along with a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and common data-related services (e.g., S3, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Kinesis, Athena) is necessary.
  • Advanced experience with complex SQL queries and database/lakehouse technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, Clickhouse, Apache Druid, and Postgres is essential.
  • A bias for action is important, where no task is considered too small.
