Description:

Phaidra is building AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling facilities to learn and improve over time.
The Software Engineer (Backend) will be part of the Data Platform team, responsible for building streaming and batch components for data ingestion and processing.
The role involves optimizing data and feature stores, creating high-throughput APIs, and fetching external data for AI training.
The position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in the UK, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Italy, or Portugal.
Responsibilities include building scalable components, designing secure data systems, performing DevOps duties, and participating in the global production on-call team.
The onboarding process includes a structured program to familiarize new hires with Phaidra's culture, product, and systems.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of work experience and a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience in production Software Engineering, including relational and non-relational data modeling and micro-services, is required.
Candidates should have experience operating and monitoring services in production using observability tools.

Bonus qualifications include experience with scalable data platforms, containerization technologies, cloud infrastructure, and knowledge of Machine Learning.
