Description:

Buildout is a family of commercial real estate (CRE) software products and services that assist brokers in finding, winning, marketing, and transacting properties.

The Software Engineer will build, maintain, and refine industry-leading CRE marketing tools, regularly developing backend (Rails) and frontend (React) features.
Responsibilities include understanding customer needs, engineering practical solutions, iterating on work to meet Buildout's quality standards, breaking down large projects into manageable components, collaborating with product managers and UX designers, conducting code reviews, and setting personal and professional goals.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of product software development experience within a SaaS company, or the ability to demonstrate sufficient learning in a shorter time frame.
Strong cross-team and cross-functional communication skills are essential.
A passion for software engineering, design, documentation, testing, and automation is required.
Experience in commercial real estate is a plus, as well as having personal projects to discuss.
