Description:

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with Discord API experience to join the team and help build the future of social connection within online communities.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving and talented team at an early stage, allowing for an outsized impact on product and culture from day one.
You will work directly with all parts of the business, from the founder to the art team, to execute on our vision.
Our technology stack primarily consists of TypeScript, and we seek someone very comfortable with the language and runtime, React (and its ecosystem), serverless technologies (especially Cloudflare products), and PostgreSQL.
We require someone with deep experience building on top of the Discord developer platform, who knows the Discord API inside and out and understands Discord’s application model and developer ecosystem.
You should have experience publishing bots or integrating deeply with Discord’s tooling and be able to translate that experience into building a delightful developer platform.

Requirements:

You must have 2 or more years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering for the web.
You should have 1 or more years of experience building Discord bots and/or applications.
Experience building products on top of a serverless architecture is required, with bonus points for knowledge of Cloudflare's product offerings.
You must have shipped full-stack products before, whether in your day job or through projects outside of work.
Direct experience working with or building on the Discord developer platform is essential, along with a deep understanding of how their APIs and developer model work.
You should be comfortable working in a low-structure environment, dealing with unknowns and imperfect information.
A great product sense is necessary, with a focus on solutions that prioritize the user's needs and a mindset that always asks why.
Strong communication skills and a motivation to share knowledge among peers by writing and maintaining solid documentation are required.
