Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer, Developer Platform Engineer for a remote position in the United States.
The role focuses on enhancing developer workflows, managing continuous integration systems, and building automation tools to improve software development efficiency.
Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to optimize tools and infrastructure that support the development lifecycle.
Key accountabilities involve enhancing and maintaining developer workflows for languages such as C++, Python, and Go, including build, lint, code coverage, and testing support.
The engineer will collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize continuous integration (CI) systems using AWS and Buildkite.
The position requires developing and deploying automation tools that streamline developer tasks such as change submissions, integration testing, and dependency management.
The engineer will design and implement basic monitoring services to track system performance and stability.
The role includes contributing to the migration of the build system to Bazel and providing on-call support, incident management, and monitoring for internal systems and tools.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong knowledge of build systems, version control tools (git), linting, code review, testing frameworks, and deployment frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and principles is required; experience with Buildkite is a plus.
Experience in developing tools and services in Python or Go is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems in both development and operational environments is required.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and familiarity with cloud infrastructure services is essential.
Candidates should have experience in on-call support processes, incident management, and monitoring tools.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams are required.
