Remote Software Engineer, DevOps

Description:

• DevOps Engineers at Wave play a crucial role in bridging the gap between operations and product development, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure.
• Responsibilities include championing infrastructure reliability, driving continuous improvement in deployment pipelines, innovating in cloud-based development, optimizing performance and cost efficiency, and contributing to strategic projects.
• The role involves collaborating with product teams, refining cloud-native developer environments, analyzing system performance, and participating in critical projects like system migrations and architecture redesigns.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure roles, with a focus on cloud environments.
• Proficiency with AWS services like EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, and VPCs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm for managing containerized applications in production.
• Expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automating infrastructure provisioning.
• Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like CircleCI and ArgoCD.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and monitoring tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Strong understanding of security principles in cloud environments and experience in monitoring and optimizing cloud costs.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) are preferred.
