Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• Bugcrowd is seeking a Software Engineer to join their growing Engineering team.
• The role requires a strong background in Python programming, specifically with Python 3.9+, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining web applications using Python 3.9, Django, and DRF.
• The Software Engineer will participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Conducting code reviews and contributing to improving the security aspects of applications is essential.
• The engineer must stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, tools, and practices to ensure applications are resilient against threats.
• Assisting in the development of automated tests to ensure application reliability and security is required.
• The role involves contributing to the documentation of systems and processes related to application development and security.
• Implementing integrations with third-party services such as Google, AWS, and ServiceNow is part of the job.
• Collaboration with the cybersecurity team to identify vulnerabilities and implement secure coding practices is expected.

Requirements:

• A preferred qualification is a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Candidates should have 3-5+ years of commercial Software Engineering experience, with at least 1-2+ years in Django Rest Framework.
• Experience with Python and Django is required.
• Familiarity with automation and Jira is necessary.
